As I grew up, my love for interior design only flourished. However, societal norms and expectations led me to believe that pursuing a career in this field was far-fetched. Doubts clouded my mind, and I decided to take a different path. I enrolled in Tompkins Cortland Community College, hoping to pursue a career in therapy. Although I enjoyed the courses and interactions, there was always a voice inside me, urging me to explore my true passion. After completing my associate's degree in Human Services, it was time to make some tough decisions. Transferring to a university to pursue a bachelor's degree seemed like the logical next step. But deep down, I knew that it wasn't the path for me. So, I took a leap of faith and decided to move out of my parents' home in Ithaca and settle in the charming town of Watkins Glen. I embarked on a journey of self-discovery. I revisited my cherished memories from childhood, and those moments of drawing floor plans resurfaced in my mind. It was then that it hit me like a wave of inspiration - interior design had always been my true passion.
